Shirley Clark (pictured, right) was thanked and congratulated on her retirement from the volunteer Elderbridge board after 17 years of service. The Elderbridge board is responsible for the Jefferson congregate meal site and the home-delivered meals sent out from there.
A brief presentation was made prior to the Friday meal, which was attended not only by the “regulars,” but also by dozens of Historical Society members. Linda Ross (pictured left) told Clark, “Your knowledge, your talents and your leadership are invaluable.”
Ross also announced that during the past year, more than 22,000 dine-in and delivered meals have been served from the site at the Greenewood Center.
